EnvCTR now available to meet Title V-Part 70 permitting requirements

July 16, 2012

V-TECH is the developer of E2DR®, a sophisticated software product suite that enables utilities to implement, track and manage energy efficiency (EE), demand-side management (DSM), and renewable energy (RE) programs. Based on the same versatile design approach as our E2DR® suite, we specifically architected EnvCTR™ as a 1-stop solution for meeting environmental compliance tracking and reporting requirements for customers subject to Title V – Part 70 stationary air sources permitting requirements.

EnvCTR is a cloud-based system that V-TECH offers as a professionally hosted service to customers with one or more facilities [either in one single location or in multiple states across the U.S.]. It can handle both major and minor emission sources and has the capability to handle all of the compliance tracking and reporting functions in a timely manner – just the avoided fines or penalties for non-compliance during the first few months will pay for the product. Since its release to selected key customers in 2011, the payback on the product has been just a few month.

Key features of EnvCTR include the ability to track and report on equipment located in multiple facilities and out-of-the-box support for a wide variety of emission units: boilers, cooling towers, generators, fire pumps, paint booths, dust collectors, storage tanks, dry cleaning units, blast cabinets, gas nozzles, printing presses, etc. Additional equipment types can be readily added at any time. EnvCTR easily handles reporting accurate emissions by supporting multiple emissions calculations and separate emission factors down to each piece of equipment and emission type (CO2, SOX, etc).

Another key benefit is that it has built-in robust data audit trail and assured reproducibility of reports to ensure compliance. It provides several readily customizable reports covering energy consumption, equipment run-times, monthly usage, and emissions to meet targeted compliance reporting requirements. It also provides customizable 12-month usage vs. limits reporting to avoid non-compliance penalties for exceeding permit allowances.

EnvCTR is a secure cloud-based solution that is reliably available 365/24/7. It is hosted in an SAS 70 Type II certified facility, with a managed firewall and backup service, and satisfies compliance with HIPPA, SOX, FISMA, and GLBA. In addition, it provides several levels of customizable role-based access to data, approvals, and reports.

As with all of V-TECH’s products, EnvCTR also comes with simple and straightforward pricing and with professional support to ensure that every customer is able to effectively use this product to meet their requirements.

According to P. S. Vishwanath, C.E.O. of V-TECH: "We developed EnvCTR based on our discussions with customers struggling to meet the complex and often time consuming reporting tasks to meet all of their reporting requirements to ensure compliance with their Title V Permits. By building in custom alerts to all stakeholders [at the individual facility level to corporate environmental management level]. Our customers have been able to save tens of thousands of dollars in labor they used to spend on tracking reports and particularly, significant fines for non-compliance. Avoiding one NoV pays for the product!"

Caesars Entertainment, a leading gaming and hospitality company with several properties in Nevada and other states, discussed the details of the customized system V-TECH implemented for them for the purpose of managing their air quality compliance programs at the May 2012 meeting of the Nevada chapter of A&WMA.

The product which was developed in 2011, has been successfully field tested with real users, and is now being released to all interested customers.
